To celebrate the 175 birthday of their student associations, DSC organised a two-week event full of festivities, attracting over 6000 attendees a day.

In order to create hype beforehand, and capture the highlights of the 14 days of events, our team created a large scale plan. First, a video was created to present the event's theme, approximately 6 months before the actual event. The organisation completely centers around this theme and the style in which it is showcased. Next, how could we document the 14 days of events in a unique way? Our director came up with a plan to create a documentary-styled video that includes both the preparation phase as well as the actual events, to highlight the unique capabilities of a large-scale event organised by students. The results is a unique documentary that follows the organisation on a more personal level while simultaneously showcasing the events in a fashionable way.

Deliverables

We have experience with these types of events, but in the end it comes down to telling the story in a unique way. Our Director certainly achieved this by introducing documentary style ideas. Our team ran around during months of preparation, while following the organisational team closely (literally with an 18 mm lens). This created a more personal bond between the viewer and the documentary.

Deliverables

We used Loop's existing brand book to create a lively script that we pitched with our ideas visualised in a storyboard. Our art director applied a matching style that allowed us and our team to deliver the production that fits with Loop's brand identity.
